Benchmark allows you to compare the evolution of an owned account or third-party source account with industry peers, i.e. other accounts of a similar age, size and sector.
1. Select Benchmark from the analytics drop-down menu on the top menu bar.
2. The Benchmark dashboard opens.
By default Audiense detects which topic is the most relevant to your industry (based on your bio). If you think there’s a better match then use the drop-down menu in the top left of the screen to select a more appropriate topic.
The dashboard has two panels:
- Evolution benchmark panel
Click view chart to see the evolution of that metric (followers, following, Tweets, lists) on the interactive line graph on the right.
Click the your account and similar users icons below the graph to toggle visibility of them on the chart.
Mouseover over any part of the chart to get accurate information by date.
Click and drag a box in the chart to see the growth over a more specific time period. You can accurately select the dates with the emerging date window. Click reset zoom to return to the original chart.
- Kred influence and outreach panel
Compare your influence and outreach with similar accounts. If your score is lower than your peers you may need to do more to gain Retweets, replies and likes to help improve your score.
Benchmark is only available for accounts, either owned accounts or third-party accounts.
How does Benchmark work?
Audiense has created clusters of Twitter accounts from our database of 100 million active users and grouped these by the account age, bio information and the topic of their sector. By analysing this information we show you in graphical form the growth of your account compared to the average of similar accounts. Benchmark is designed to give you a general idea and we are constantly improving our algorithm to make the results as accurate as possible.
